The Competition Council announced on Thursday the authorization of the transaction through which Quality Titles, owned by Radu Budeanu, acquires the majority stake of the G4Media Group. The decision was based on the favorable opinion of the Commission for the Examination of Foreign Direct Investments (CEISD), which confirmed that the investment does not affect the security or public order in Romania.

Radu Budeanu stated that the purpose of the acquisition is to contribute to the development of an independent and quality press. The founders of G4Media, Dan Tăpălagă and Cristian Pantazi, will continue to be involved editorially, and the new media conglomerate aims for an audience of nearly 2 million unique daily users. Details of the ownership structure will be communicated later, and the editorial management remains unchanged.
