Rompetrol Rafinare, part of the KMG International Group, announced that the Petromidia Năvodari and Vega Ploiești refineries will suspend operational activity for intermediate technological revisions, scheduled to last approximately 20 days, starting at the beginning of March.
The shutdown is part of a set schedule, which includes general revisions every 4 years and intermediate technological shutdowns every 2 years. The work will include inspections, reauthorizations, cleaning of equipment, and replacement of elements such as catalysts, to maintain production yields and ensure the safety of operations. The Vega refinery depends on raw materials from Petromidia, which is why the revisions take place simultaneously. During this period, Rompetrol Rafinare will continue to meet its contractual obligations, with product deliveries being ensured from stocks or through the trading division of the KMGI Group.
