Romanians with loans in lei with a variable interest rate are facing a new increase in rates, as the IRCC will reach 6.06% starting from October 1, 2025. This is the highest value of the index since its introduction in 2019, when it was 2.63%. The significant increase compared to the current value of 5.55% is influenced by tensions in the interbank market during the election campaign.
