President Nicușor Dan announced a 30% reduction in the expenses of the Presidential Administration by 2025, which translates to savings of 30 million lei for the Romanian state. In a press conference in July, he mentioned that the budget of the Presidential Administration could be reduced by 20%, generating savings of 20 million lei.

Dan emphasized that these reductions are more significant than small salary adjustments. It is also important to mention that the decrease in expenses is not solely due to President Dan, considering that Romania had three different presidents in 2025.
