Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, stated that the political decision of the PSD is not to support any exceptions to the bill regarding the pension-salary cumulation, except for those mentioned in the Constitutional Court Decision No. 1414/2009, which refers to individuals with mandates established in the Constitution. He emphasizes the desire to create an applicable and efficient project, without populism.

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan added that the project will target non-contributory pensions, arguing that it is abnormal for a person to retire early and then be employed in the public sector. The project will be finalized soon, taking into account the decisions of the Constitutional Court and the realities in the field, to avoid any potential unconstitutionality.
