Prosus reported a 26% annual increase in revenue in the first half of the fiscal year, with EBITDA nearly doubled, reaching 423 million dollars, due to the growth of the e-commerce segment and the sale of a stake in Tencent. However, CEO Fabricio Bloisi mentioned that eMAG is under pressure, having stable revenues of 1.13 billion dollars, with a margin lower than anticipated. eMAG Romania recorded a slight increase in revenue, but other subsidiaries experienced significant declines. The company has initiated a restructuring process in Hungary, including the sale of assets. Despite the challenges, eMAG achieved an EBITDA of 45 million dollars, and Sameday reported an improvement in profitability. Prosus is transforming from an investment firm into a direct e-commerce operator, focusing on integrating AI into business and strategic acquisitions in Europe.
