The Petrom station in Sector 6, Bucharest, displayed on September 4 a price of 7.47 lei for gasoline and 7.67 lei for diesel, both increasing by 4 bani per liter compared to the previous day. This is the second price increase in September, following a series of fluctuations in August. A new increase in excise duties will lead to additional price hikes in 2026. Petrom remains the leader in the fuel market in Romania, with 555 gas stations. Oil prices have recently decreased, with Brent at 67.16 dollars/barrel.
