On November 6, 2025, Petrom, the leader of the fuel market in Romania, raised prices again, marking the seventh increase in less than two weeks. The price of standard gasoline and standard diesel increased by 4 bani per liter, and at the stations in the Capital, gasoline costs between 7.43 lei and 7.49 lei, while diesel costs between 7.75 lei and 7.80 lei. This is the second increase in November, after diesel rose by 4 bani on November 4, and in total, in the last two weeks, gasoline has become more expensive by 16 bani, and diesel by 28 bani per liter. Additionally, a new price increase is expected from January 1, 2026, when excise duties will be raised, leading to an additional increase of 34 bani for gasoline and 30 bani for diesel. Compared to last month, the average price of gasoline has slightly decreased by 0.1%, while diesel has increased by 1.2%.
