Petrom, Romania's fuel market leader, has lowered fuel prices again, dropping diesel by 5 bani per liter, following a significant increase since August 1. Although the price of gasoline remained constant, the company made a cumulative reduction of 10 bani per liter for diesel. This was influenced by a crisis in crude oil supplies, which prompted the energy ministry to declare an emergency. Petrom will replenish state reserves within the next 60 days. In the long term, fuel prices are expected to rise again in 2026.
