The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced that over 1,500 Romanian citizens have been safely repatriated from countries affected by the conflict in the Middle East, through evacuation and assisted repatriation flights. Additionally, approximately 1,000 Romanians have exited the region via commercial flights. The MFA thanks the authorities from various countries in the region for their support in organizing these flights.
Currently, about 12,500 Romanians remain under the attention of the consular service, of which 2,500 are requesting assistance for their return to the country, including 400 priority cases. The MFA's Crisis Cell continues repatriation efforts, prioritizing vulnerable categories. The MFA reiterates the importance of registering on the eConsulat platform and recommends that citizens check information from airlines and follow their instructions.
