Trump emphasized that, although Iran has approached Washington's position, it has not made sufficient progress. In this context, Trump is set to receive a briefing from Admiral Brad Cooper, the CENTCOM commander, about possible military actions in Iran. Three scenarios are being considered: a short and powerful attack on Iranian infrastructure, taking control of a portion of the Strait of Hormuz to reopen maritime transport, and a special forces operation to secure Iran's enriched uranium stockpile. These measures could prompt Iran to return to the negotiating table with greater flexibility regarding its nuclear program.
