Nova Power & Gas, part of the E-INFRA group, has announced the commissioning of the largest battery energy storage facility in Romania, with a power of 200 MW and a storage capacity of 400 MWh, located in Florești, Cluj County. The company has also begun work on a 160 MW combined cycle power plant in Câmpia Turzii, which will be operational by the end of 2026. The total value of these investments exceeds 350 million euros.

The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, emphasized the importance of energy storage for reducing imbalances in the system and integrating renewable sources. Nova Power & Gas thus becomes a national leader in battery storage capacities, currently having 240 MWh operational. The company aims to become a major player in the production and supply of electricity and gas, expanding regionally. Banca Transilvania is the financial partner of the Nova Power & Gas projects, thus supporting energy security and the transition to a sustainable future.
