President Nicușor Dan participated in the meeting of the group "Friends of Competitiveness", where he discussed with European leaders about the transition to a greener economy.

He stated that this transition must be carried out in a realistic manner, protecting both the environment and the economy. Dan emphasized the need to reduce carbon emissions, but without putting excessive pressure on companies and energy prices.

Romania has significant energy resources, such as natural gas and nuclear energy, which can contribute to the energy security of the country and Europe. The President also highlighted the importance of rapid investments in European energy infrastructure to ensure efficient energy flow between member states.

The common goal is a well-integrated Single Market and a strong and competitive European Union that ensures the well-being of its citizens.
