On Tuesday, the National Bank of Romania announced a fall in the official exchange rate, with the euro quoted at 5.0366 lei, down from 5.0422 lei previously. The dollar has reached 4.4117 lei and the pound sterling is now at 5.9510 lei. The Swiss franc was quoted at 5.3709 lei and the price of gold fell to 472.0952 lei per gram. This trend reflects an adjustment in the currency market.
