Romania's GDP recorded a growth of 0.3% in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the second quarter of 2024, according to INS data.

In the second quarter of 2025, GDP increased by 0.3% on a gross basis and by 2.3% on a seasonally adjusted basis compared to the same period in 2024. In the first half of 2025, the growth was 0.3% on a gross basis and 1.5% seasonally adjusted. Revisions of previous data have influenced estimates, and the volume of gross value added has had significant variations. Agriculture and construction had positive contributions, while industry and financial intermediation did not contribute to growth.
