MP Andrei Gusa said that Mega Image, part of the Ahold Delhaize group, is planning to acquire the Carrefour Romania chain, which could lead to the formation of an oligopoly on the retail market. Gușă underlined the risks of such a deal, including rising prices and difficulties for Romanian producers to access shelves. He announced that the sovereignists in the Parliament will refer the matter to the Competition Council if it does not take action.
