The NBR exchange rate showed a slight weakening of the leu, with the euro quoted at 5.0770 lei, up 0.06 bani, and the US dollar at 4.4557 lei, up 1.71 bani. In contrast, the leu gained ground against the Swiss franc, which fell to 5.4544 lei. A gram of gold was also slightly cheaper at 472.0453 lei.
