Kelemen Hunor, the president of UDMR, stated that the package of economic measures agreed upon within the coalition should not be considered a bargaining chip for the approval of the administrative reform. He emphasized the importance of this package for stimulating the economy, mentioning that the budget deficit cannot be resolved solely through tax increases or cuts. Hunor explained that some measures from the package will be implemented this year, while others next year, with the aim of stimulating economic growth and creating jobs.

The governing coalition has decided that the Government should assume responsibility for the administrative reform, and PSD has requested the adoption of a package for economic recovery. PNL proposed that the assumption of responsibility take place on January 29, with the legislative measures ready by January 26.
