The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has published an update to the 'World Economic Outlook' report, estimating a global economic growth of 3.3% in 2026, with a positive revision compared to previous estimates. This growth is attributed to companies adapting to trade tariffs and redirecting supply chains. The IMF emphasizes that artificial intelligence could boost the global economy by up to 0.3 percentage points in 2026, depending on the speed of adoption. In the US, economic growth is estimated at 2.4%, while in China it is 4.5%. The eurozone will register a growth of 1.3%, and emerging economies will have a growth of 4.2%. Although forecasts for Romania have not been updated, the IMF has revised down previous estimates for Romanian GDP.
