The National Bank of Romania has announced a slight fall in the euro, quoted at 5.0537 lei, and the US dollar to 4.4272 lei. The pound sterling fell to 6.0049 lei and the Swiss franc rose to 5.3995 lei. Gold continued to appreciate, reaching 482.1625 lei per gram for the fourth consecutive day. The value of the IMF unit of account fell to 6.0278 lei. The exchange rates are calculated on the basis of quotes from authorized banks.
