In contrast, the Swiss franc and the British pound increased, being valued at 5.4664 lei and 5.8560 lei, respectively. Gold recorded an increase of approximately 10 lei, with one gram at 575.7083 lei. The quotes are set by the BNR based on the rates practiced by authorized banks, without imposing their use in transactions.
