The pan-European Stoxx Europe 600 index rose 0.4%, with France's CAC 40 and Germany's DAX advancing 0.4% and 1.1% respectively. Britain's FTSE 100 was the only exception, falling 0.2%. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said trade announcements would be made in the next 48 hours, but gave no details on the countries involved.
