The Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, said that in the state-owned companies subordinated to his ministry, the salaries of directors are exorbitant, exemplified by the salary of the director of SALROM, which was increased from 32,000 to 38,000 lei. He also mentioned other companies, such as Cuprumin and Ictrans, where salaries reach 50,000 lei per month, plus variable bonuses. Miruță stressed that these high salaries raise ethical questions.
