The prices of diesel transport have exceeded the prices of aviation fuel in Europe

Diesel fuel prices in Europe have surpassed, for the first time in over a year, aviation fuel prices. This situation arises against the backdrop of reduced aviation fuel deliveries from the Middle East being replaced by other sources, while the supply of diesel for industry and agriculture is affected.

Europe has managed to attract aviation fuel shipments from the USA and Nigeria, following the price increases caused by the war with Iran, which disrupted global supply. Aviation fuel imports rose to 750,000 barrels per day in June, while diesel imports fell to 1.56 million barrels per day.

Diesel prices have recently increased due to the stalemate in peace negotiations with Iran and restrictions on Russian exports. Although aviation fuel prices have risen, they are 25% below the records set in March, and weaker demand could further influence prices.
