INS reports a decrease in the turnover in market services provided to the population by 1.1% in the first nine months of 2025, compared to 2024

The National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced a decrease in the volume of turnover from market services provided to the population in the first nine months of 2025, by 1.1% compared to the same period in 2024. This decrease is influenced by the activities of travel agencies (-15%), gambling (-3.4%), laundry of textile articles (-1.1%) and hotels/restaurants (-0.4%).


In contrast, hairdressing services increased by 11.1%. In September 2025, turnover decreased by 7.5% compared to August 2025, and compared to September 2024, it was lower by 4.2%. The activities of laundry of textile articles had an increase of 11.5% in September. Adjusted for working days and seasonality, turnover increased by 4.7% in September compared to the previous month, but decreased by 5.1% compared to September 2024.
