The Danish chain of discount stores, Normal, has announced the opening of its first store in Romania, located in Bucharest. This represents the first unit of the network in Central and Eastern Europe, thus expanding beyond the Nordic and Western European markets where it is already active. Anders Holch Povlsen, the richest Dane, is the majority shareholder of the company. The opening of this store marks an important milestone in Normal's expansion strategy, which aims to bring products at affordable prices to Romanian consumers.
