Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare are meeting with representatives of the Fitch rating agency to discuss Romania's rating, scheduled for August. The rating will influence investor confidence in the country. The government must swiftly implement fiscal measures, such as raising VAT and taxing high pensions, by the end of July to demonstrate its commitment to reducing the budget deficit. A similar review will be carried out by the European Commission in September.
