The Concordia Employers' Confederation has proposed a package of measures for the relaunch and economic growth of Romania, focused on fiscal policies that stimulate investments and structural reforms. The package targets seven strategic areas: taxation, labor market, digitalization, innovation, energy, transport, and economic diplomacy. Representatives of Concordia emphasize that, although Romania has adaptable resources and human capital, the state acts slowly and regulates excessively, which affects investments. Concordia calls for the maintenance of the flat tax rate and fiscal stability, as well as the simplification of administrative processes through digitalization. Mobilizing domestic capital is essential, and the proposals include increasing the capacity of pension funds to invest in the real economy. Additionally, tax incentives for productive investments and unlocking lending by eliminating the overtaxation of the banking sector are proposed. The package includes measures to accelerate the absorption of European funds and improve energy and transport infrastructure. Implementing these measures could generate a favorable business environment, stimulating investments and job creation, thus strengthening Romania's role in the European economy. Concordia, representing 20 economic sectors, is committed to collaborating with the state to support the economic development of the country.
