The National Railway Company 'CFR' S.A. will organize a public auction for the sale of land and buildings in the private domain that are not necessary for railway infrastructure projects. On January 13, 2026, the Minister of Transport, Ciprian-Constantin Șerban, had a meeting with the CFR Board of Directors to discuss the implementation of new legislative regulations. The Board will conduct a detailed analysis of the available assets, aiming to capitalize on those goods that do not contribute to the strategic objectives of the national railway system. The sale will be conducted respecting the principles of transparency, competition, and efficient use of resources.
