CEISD has decided not to approve the sale of E.ON to MVM, underlining the impact on Romania's national security, in particular because of MVM's relations with Russia. The Ministry of Energy identified multiple risks, including commercial ties with Russian entities, possible subsequent divestitures of shares, and vulnerabilities in protecting customer data. The final decision will be taken by the CSAT, which has 90 days to issue a binding opinion.
