According to an analysis conducted by Counterpoint Research, Apple is on track to deliver approximately 243 million iPhones by 2025, surpassing Samsung, which will deliver 235 million smartphones. This will raise Apple's market share to 19.4%, while Samsung will decrease to 18.7%. Apple's success is attributed to the launch of the iPhone 17 series, which has had exceptional sales, recording a 12% increase in the US and 18% in China compared to the previous series.

On the other hand, Samsung is facing fierce competition from Chinese manufacturers in the low and mid-range segments. Counterpoint estimates that Apple will continue to dominate the smartphone market until 2029, due to second-hand iPhone sales, the reduced impact of trade tariffs, and the expansion of its product range. Apple will launch new models, including an iPhone 17e and a foldable model, which will allow it to attract users from emerging markets and strengthen its presence in the affordable premium segment.
