The heirs of Princess Ileana of Romania have been declared the new owners of Bran Castle, according to a decision from the most important arbitration court in the world, in the USA. Although the castle was legally returned in 2006, the legal dispute with the law firm Herzfeld & Rubin, which managed the commercial activities of the property, lasted several years. The dispute was adjudicated at the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), and recently, the judges decided that all social shares of the Bran Domain Management Company should be transferred to the heirs. They are Archduke Dominic Habsburg Lothringen, Archduchess Maria-Magdalena of Austria, and Archduchess Margareta Elisabeth Sandhofer. In 2023, the former associate lawyers made a profit of 5.5 million dollars, and for 2024, they received a portion of the estimated profit of 1.8 million dollars.
