The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has published a draft decision that provides for a reduction in the tariff for natural gas for final consumers. ANRE proposes a tariff of 13.35 lei for one cubic meter of gas, excluding VAT, which translates to 14.42 lei with VAT included. This is a lower value than that requested by Energocom, which proposed a price of 14.2 lei excluding VAT. The draft is in the public consultation stage and does not represent a final decision. ANRE will examine the request on an urgent basis, adhering to the principles of decision-making transparency. Consumers are invited to participate in the consultation and to submit their opinions. Currently, consumers pay 16.74 lei/mc, and the new prices will come into effect only after the decision is published in the Official Gazette.
