In July 2025, Romania reported annual inflation of 6.6%, up from 5.8% in June and among the highest in the EU, along with Estonia and Slovakia. Euro area inflation remained stable at 2%. Food, services and non-food prices rose significantly, according to the NSI. The NBR revised its end-2025 inflation forecast to 8.8%, anticipating a peak of 9.6-9.7% in September.
