Last weekend, at the Cologne-Bonn airport, two Romanian men were involved in an unusual incident after they missed their boarding for a flight to Bucharest. The two, aged 28 and 47, broke the glass of an emergency exit to enter the secured area, in an attempt to stop the aircraft that had its engines running and was heading towards the runway. After reaching the runway, they ran making signs towards the pilots' cabin, but were quickly stopped by authorities.

The German Federal Police has opened a criminal case for trespassing and is analyzing whether their actions violated aviation security legislation. The incident did not endanger the passengers of the aircraft, but it caused delays and additional security measures.
