The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, confirmed that two Romanian workers were injured following the collapse of the Torre dei Conti tower in Rome, an incident that occurred during renovation works. A 48-year-old worker was transported to the hospital, while another, aged 66, is trapped under the rubble. Both are conscious and communicating, and rescue teams continue to work to recover the second worker.

The ministry mentions that the Romanian consulate is in constant contact with the Italian authorities and provides consular assistance. Firefighters responded quickly, but a new collapse complicated the situation. Romanian citizens in Italy can request consular assistance through the phone numbers provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
