Three teenagers, including a 16-year-old Romanian, pursued by police in Switzerland after being found in a stolen car.

The police from the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland, identified an orange Renault Captur, reported stolen, on the A2 highway, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, around 2:00 PM. Three teenagers, aged between 15 and 17, were in the vehicle, including a 16-year-old Romanian.

The police began pursuing the car, which left the A2 and entered the A1, continuing on the A5 until the Solothurn Ost exit. The stop was made in Biberist, using a spike strip to block the vehicle.

During the operation, a police vehicle was damaged. The three teenagers, a 15-year-old Swiss girl, a 16-year-old Romanian, and a 17-year-old Spaniard, were temporarily detained for checks. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the theft and the role of each individual in the incident, without providing further details about the car theft.
