The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established a working group to improve collaboration in promoting the Romanian language abroad and preserving the cultural identity of Romanians in the diaspora.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized an inter-institutional working group to coordinate efforts in promoting the Romanian language in the diaspora and in historical communities. The aim is to improve collaboration between the involved institutions and to identify new lines of action for preserving the cultural and linguistic identity of Romanians abroad.

State Secretary Clara Volintiru emphasized the importance of analyzing the needs of Romanian communities and expanding Romanian language courses in the public education systems of host countries. Representatives from various institutions, including the Institute of the Romanian Language and the Romanian Cultural Institute, participated in the first meeting of the group. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also aims to support these institutions in promoting the Romanian language and to inform Romanian communities about the available opportunities.
