An incident occurred on the A9 motorway, in the Köschinger Forst parking lot, where four Romanians were caught by plainclothes police while unloading goods from a Mercedes Sprinter van and loading them into another vehicle. The merchandise came from a major online retailer, and at the time of the intervention, they had already transferred five televisions, five vacuum cleaners, two lawnmowers, and four TV stands, totaling an estimated damage of 3,600 euros.
The goods have been recovered and are set to be returned to the owner. Two of the men were temporarily detained, as they did not have stable residence in Germany, and all four have criminal records for theft. Authorities are investigating whether the group was involved in other similar thefts, considering that parking lots on motorways are frequently monitored to prevent crimes. The case was reported by the Traffic Police in Ingolstadt.
