A Romanian stole a luxury yacht from Mallorca / He was caught by the police after a chase on water and from the air

A 52-year-old Romanian man was caught after a dramatic chase off the coast of Mallorca, where he stole a vessel worth over 1,000,000 euros. He was accompanied by a woman whose details are unknown, and he took a luxury boat from the port of Soller.

The owner noticed the disappearance and alerted the authorities, who located the vessel thanks to the GPS tracking. A maritime patrol and a helicopter were mobilized, identifying the boat 200 km away, near a deserted island.

Although the man tried to escape through dangerous maneuvers, the police managed to stop him. The two were apprehended, and an investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the theft. The owner of the vessel stated that its value exceeds 1 million euros.
