According to recent data from the Permanent Immigration Observatory (OPI), Romanians represent the largest foreign community in Spain, with 1,136,518 valid residence permits. They are followed by Italians, with 514,054 permits, and British, with 382,474 permits. Together, these three nationalities make up 51% of the total foreigners with legal residence in Spain. The information was published on Friday by the agency subordinate to the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, thus highlighting the significant impact of the Romanian community on Spanish society.
