A Romanian woman was shot in the abdomen by a 92-year-old man in Milan, after a dispute related to money.

A 46-year-old Romanian caregiver was shot in the abdomen on March 26, in an apartment in Milan, by a 92-year-old man, following a dispute over money. The incident took place in the Barona neighborhood, and the woman was urgently transported to the hospital, where she underwent surgery.

The elderly man was initially arrested for attempted murder and illegal possession of a weapon, having a revolver without a permit. Although he was placed under house arrest due to his age, he escaped and was caught by carabinieri on the streets of Stresa, being taken back to his son's home. The elderly man has a criminal record, having been previously convicted for setting fire to a bar after a dispute with the owners.
