An unfortunate incident occurred at Frankfurt airport, where a 38-year-old Romanian was prevented from boarding a plane after making an inappropriate joke during the security check. On July 17, the man said that there was a bomb in his luggage, just as his suitcase triggered the alarm following an explosives detection test.

The situation was aggravated by the fact that the luggage was locked with a padlock, and the owner could not remember the combination. Authorities opened the suitcase and found a music box, but the Romanian's joke led to the resumption of the entire security procedure under police supervision.

As a result, the man was escorted out of the security area and a criminal case was opened against him. German authorities emphasized that such statements are not tolerated and can have serious consequences, including criminal investigations and exclusion from the flight.
