A 31-year-old Romanian was arrested at Bordeaux airport, being involved in four casino robberies in France, after his DNA was identified at the scene. One of the robberies took place in Cazaubon, where the thieves attempted to break into a casino but fled without stealing anything. The investigation revealed links to three other robberies, with total damages exceeding 70,000 euros.
The DNA evidence led to the identification of the suspect, who had a history of organized crime. After his arrest, he partially admitted to being involved in the robbery in Cazaubon but denied any connection to the other cases. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison, of which 12 were suspended, and banned from French territory for five years. His accomplice remains unidentified.
