In Germany, the child supplement offers parents with low incomes up to 297 euros per month for each child, but two-thirds of those eligible do not apply. This assistance is intended for families who earn enough to support themselves but cannot cover all expenses for children. The support also includes additional benefits, such as tax exemptions for kindergartens. Starting in 2025, parents can also benefit from a bonus of 1,000 euros for students. Nearly 1.5 million eligible children do not receive this help due to lack of information.
