The two brothers who beat and robbed a Cuban young man in Italy were caught after filming the moment of the attack and distributing the clip of the aggression online.
Two Romanian brothers, aged 16 and 17, are under investigation for robbery and serious bodily harm, following an assault that took place at the end of October 2025, in the area of Brignole station in Genoa. The victim, a Cuban young man, was attacked by a group consisting of the two brothers and two minor accomplices, one of whom, of Albanian origin, is missing and wanted, while the other, a child under 14, cannot be held criminally responsible. The young man was hit, threatened with a knife, and forced to follow the attackers to Piazza della Vittoria, where he was robbed of a ring and a necklace. Following the assault, the victim required approximately ten days of medical care.
The arrests were made by the carabinieri from the San Martino neighborhood, based on a warrant issued by the Juvenile Court of Genoa. The identification of the suspects was facilitated by witness statements and images captured by surveillance cameras, and the aggression was filmed by the perpetrators and distributed online, becoming essential evidence in the case. Authorities continue the search for the missing minor.
