A young man from Bucharest was detained by the police after he threatened a bus driver with a gun in traffic.

On April 25, 2026, agents of the 4th Police Section in Bucharest apprehended a 26-year-old man, accused of making threats and disturbing public order. The incident occurred around 7:00 PM, when the police were notified that a bus driver had been threatened with a weapon by another driver. According to investigations, the young man blocked the bus in traffic, got out of his car, and exhibited aggressive behavior, punching the bus window and threatening the driver.

During the altercation, the man pulled out a gun, which he displayed to intimidate. The police quickly located him near the scene of the incident, and the gun was later found in the yard of a building in the area, where the young man had allegedly thrown it. After his apprehension, he was placed under house arrest.
