A 26-year-old man has been arrested after stealing a car in Sector 1 and driving it without a license to Giurgiu, then abandoning it in Bucharest.

The young man, known to have a previous criminal record, was apprehended by officers after he stole a car left in the ignition by a 37-year-old man. The theft was reported on July 13, 2025, and the young man was caught on surveillance cameras stealing the car. He drove without a driver's license to Giurgiu County, later returning to Bucharest, where he abandoned the vehicle. Police recovered the car and returned it to its owner.
