Meteorologists have issued a yellow code for severe weather, with snowfall and sleet, strong winds, and snow accumulations of up to 25 cm in mountainous areas.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued a yellow warning for severe weather, valid between January 1 and 3. Snow, sleet, and ice are expected in several regions, with snow accumulations of 15-25 cm in the Apuseni Mountains and 5-15 cm in other mountainous areas. The wind will reach gusts of over 90 km/h at high altitudes and 40-50 km/h in low areas.

Precipitation will be significant, and visibility will be reduced, especially in mountainous areas. Additionally, ice will form in Banat, Maramureș, Transylvania, and Crișana. The yellow wind warning is also valid from January 1, 11 PM to January 2, 6 PM, with intensifications in the Carpathians.
