The CNIR approved the Technical Project for section 1D Joseni-Ditrău of the A8 Highway, and the works will begin on August 17, 2026.

The National Company for Road Investments (CNIR) announced that the works for lot 1D Joseni-Ditrău of the A8 Highway Târgu Mureș - Târgu Neamț will begin on Monday, August 17, 2026, after the approval of the Technical Execution Project. This is the first highway lot in the mountain sector of A8 and will be built in Harghita County, with an execution period of 24 months. Over a length of 14.4 kilometers, the project includes 18 bridges, passages, viaducts, 3 wildlife overpasses, a road junction at Ditrău, and a temporary discharge for connection with the next lot.

All works will utilize BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology, which allows for efficient management of digital data, preventing improper planning and identifying additional costs. The contractor Association Danlin XXL - Groma Hold LTD - Intertranscom Impex S.R.L. will implement BIM throughout the entire project cycle, ensuring quality execution and reducing risks and delays.
